KEPL is a fast-growing team within Ecliptic Systematic Strategies, specializing in medium-frequency statistical arbitrage strategies with high Sharpe ratios. Our team members come from top universities and leading trading and tech firms, including D.E. Shaw, Two Sigma, Citadel, Meta, and Google.

Role & Experience  

We seek exceptional students to join us as quantitative researcher interns in summer 2025.  

The ideal candidate is driven by a passion for quantitative research, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the analytical rigor to tackle complex challenges. Most of our interns come from quantitative PhD programs at top U.S. universities.

Requirements  

- PhD candidate in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields

- Strong foundation in computational math, probability, and statistics

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment

- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership of projects

- Strong programming skills in Python or C/C++

- Effective communication skills

- Commitment to the highest ethical standards

Compensation  

Annual base salary: $240,000 - $300,000 (USD) (prorated for the internship duration)  

Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, education, and skill level.
