Your Role
In this critical operational role, you’ll combine software and systems engineering skills to maintain and enhance a complex suite of distributed, real-time systems supporting our Global Macro business. The uptime and reliability of these systems are essential to our operations and trading strategies.
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will focus on optimizing the performance and efficiency of our existing systems and infrastructure. You’ll follow automation and tooling best practices and contribute to foundational components of a broad SRE program that spans both new and legacy systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building foundational SRE components: Contribute to a comprehensive SRE program that spans multiple systems.
- Collaboration with development and quant teams: Ensure that ongoing changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for user interactions.
- System monitoring and optimization: Track system capacity and performance, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks before they impact stakeholders.
- Code review and feedback: Maintain high standards of code quality by reviewing automation code developed by peers.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve system issues and assess their impact on infrastructure and service operations.
- Design reviews: Participate in or lead design discussions with peers and stakeholders to evaluate technologies and automation strategies.
What We’re Looking For
We seek proactive engineers who thrive in complex environments. Specifically, you should bring:
- Experience: Prior work as an SRE or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and PowerShell, basic knowledge of C#, and familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience with cloud services (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Configuration Management (Ansible), and container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS/ECS.
- Personal Traits: Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, a sense of ownership, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Compensation
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $250,000 (USD), excluding discretionary bonuses and our comprehensive benefits package. The exact compensation will depend on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
