Credit Analyst – Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT)

The Credit Analyst will report to a New York-based Portfolio Manager and focus on fundamental bottom-up research to generate commercial trade ideas within the High Yield and Leveraged Loan universe, primarily targeting the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors.

Responsibilities

As a Credit Analyst, you will:

- Conduct rigorous fundamental credit research to identify attractive long/short investment opportunities, including credit analysis, financial modeling, and documentation reviews.

- Analyze businesses and capital structures (Loans, Bonds, CDS) across High Yield and more stressed names in credit markets, collaborating with the Portfolio Manager and other analysts to develop credit opinions.

- Synthesize market information and create thematic trade ideas.

- Formulate differentiated investment views from consensus, advocating for conviction or contrarian perspectives.

- Monitor existing positions, staying on top of news flow, fundamental developments, and market supply.

- Build and maintain external relationships (with sell-side research, syndicates, company management, ratings agencies, etc.) to develop views on issuers.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in credit research, preferably on the buy-side or sell-side.

- Expertise in fundamental credit research, including financial modeling and relative value analysis.

- Solid familiarity with various credit securities, including bonds and CDS.

- Ability to navigate uncertainty and confidently express conviction in investment decisions.

- Desire to take risks and assume accountability for outcomes.

- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and collaborative.

- Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Compensation & Benefits

- Annual base salary: $150,000–$200,000 (USD) *(excluding discretionary bonus and benefits)*
