A Career with Aureviums’s Tax Team
Aureviums’s Tax team is responsible for overseeing tax compliance across multiple entities, including funds, private equity and management companies, high net worth individuals, and tax-exempt organizations. We collaborate with external partners like Big Four accounting firms to manage tax-related projects and ensure compliance across various tax jurisdictions. Our team is constantly working to enhance processes, with strong support from our Tax Technology team.
What You’ll Do
We’re seeking a highly motivated professional with a passion for tax compliance and strong attention to detail to support various aspects of high-net-worth individual, private foundation, partnership, and S corporation tax compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting tax compliance efforts for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and family office taxpayers by preparing tax workpapers, estimates, and forms.
- Assisting in the preparation of documents for co-sourcing engagements with third-party tax providers and handling audit-related inquiries from taxing authorities.
- Utilizing Aureviums’s proprietary software to generate tax return templates and workpapers.
- Collecting, reviewing, and drafting materials in response to audits by federal and state taxing authorities.
- Collaborating with internal departments to advise on reporting obligations, sales and use tax implications, and the tax impact of accounting entries.
- Supporting the preparation and review of the tax provision used in monthly financial statement reporting.
- Contributing to tax planning and structuring projects, and preparing materials for senior management presentations.
- Leading and/or contributing to automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring junior team members and providing development opportunities.
- Gaining exposure to tax issues related to hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, management companies, and exempt organizations.
What’s Required
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years of experience in U.S. taxation, particularly for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations.
- Experience responding to tax notices and audit inquiries.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- A professional designation (e.g., CPA licensure) or the intent to achieve one.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new software.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A self-starter mindset with attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- A commitment to the highest ethical standards.
